Applications from the interested eligible candidates are hereby invited to attend the “Walk-in-Interview” for engagement of 01 GIS Assistants on contractual basis for Circle level under the amalgamated establishment of District Commissioner, Morigaon.

Eligibility Criteria for GIS Assistant:
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of GIS database of Cadastral and Non-cadastral villages.
- Digitization of georeferenced maps.
- Preparation of GIS-assisted reports, presentations, and data visualization.
- Supporting with GIS technical inputs to enhance work quality and outputs.
- Coordination with Circle Officer and DLRS for field-level GIS activities and database.
Age Limit:
- Above 21 years and not more than 45 years as on 01-Jan-2025
Required Qualification for DC Office Morigaon Recruitment :
Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography/ Geology/ Mathematics/ Geo-informatics/ Physics/ Computer Science or a related field with Certificate/ Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geo-informatics. Or
- M. Tech./M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics, Or
- MCA/ M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology
Desirable Qualification:
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GPS, GIS data formats (e.g., Shape files, GeoJSON, KML) & Data collection through drone survey.
- Ability to work with and maintain geospatial data.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently. Prior experience in a GIS-related role or internship is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience of minimum 2 years.
- Preference will be given to RCCC trained candidates having requisite educational qualifications with command over GIS.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Arc Desktop, Arc Pro, Auto CAD, Global Mapper.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Spreadsheets.
- Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English is required.
Remuneration:
- Rs. 25,000/- per month (fixed)
