Selection Process

1. Forester-I & Forest Guard:
   • Written Test (2 hours): General Arithmetic, General English and General Knowledge.
   • Physical Fitness Test: walking 26 km (male) or 16 km (female) within 4 hours, followed by a Medical Test.
   • Oral Test for qualified candidates (Grade-III posts).
2. Junior Assistant:
   • Written Test (2 hours): General Arithmetic, General English and General Knowledge.
   • Computer Typing and English Drafting Test for qualified candidates.
   • Oral Test / Viva-Voce for qualified candidates.
3. Plantation Mali, Chainman, Office Peon, Dak Runner & Chowkidar: Oral Test only.

1. Prepare the application in the Standard Form prescribed in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette.
2. Affix a Council Court Fee Stamp worth ₹10 and mention your Employment Exchange Registration Number.
3. Attach two recent passport-size photographs.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of age proof, caste certificate, P.R.C., educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (HSLC / HSSLC / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) and other relevant documents.
5. Submit the application in person, during office hours, on or before 30 November 2026, at the office of one of these Divisional Forest Officers in Haflong:
   • Dima Hasao Forest Division (East), Haflong
