MSSV Faculty Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the qualifications prescribed under the NCTE Regulations, 2021, applicable UGC Regulations, and Government of Assam norms wherever applicable.
Head of the Department – Education
Candidates applying for the position of Professor or Associate Professor in Education as Head of the Department should have:
- A postgraduate degree in Sciences, Mathematics, Social Sciences or Languages.
- M.Ed. degree.
- Ph.D. in Education.
- Ten years of teaching experience in a teacher education institution for the Professor category.
- Eight years of teaching experience in a teacher education institution for the Associate Professor category.
- Any other relevant qualification prescribed by the University Grants Commission for the respective category of post.
Assistant Professor – Liberal Discipline & Pedagogy Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- A postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant discipline.
